J.Marck
From the moment Josh Marck, also known by his friends and peers as “JMarck,” picked up a guitar at age 9, it was clear he was destined for something special. Influenced by the electric energy of Jimi Hendrix, the innovation of Prince, and the soulful grooves of Paul Jackson Jr., Jonathan Dubose Jr., and Erick Walls, among many others, Josh’s playing is more than just technique—it’s an extension of who he is, aimed at inspiring and moving people through every note.
Based in the Philly area, Josh has carved out a reputation as a guitarist who can do it all. He’s not just a player; he’s a collaborator, a creator, and a musical force. Whether sharing the stage with pop artist Danni Peace—opening for heavyweights like Tyrese, Trey Songz, and Poets in Autumn—or lending his talents to local Wilmington R&B artist Fred Reed, Josh brings a deep, resonant energy to every performance. He’s also worked with pop/indie artist Olivia Rubini, a standout from season 25 of The Voice, in a couple of local performances. these are just a few of the artists Josh has supported across various genres, showcasing his ability to blend seamlessly into any musical landscape.
Josh’s journey includes four appearances on ABC27's “GoodDay PA”—twice in 2017 , once in 2022, and another in 2023—plus a radio performance on “Hometown Heroes” in 2022, all with Danni Peace, showcasing his visibility and versatility as an artist. In 2018, he toured Europe with the Philly band Nomads and Natives, a transformative experience that solidified his place as a rising star. In 2024, Josh played at NAMM for Gopherwood Guitars, an endorsement that speaks volumes about his skill and dedication. He also participated in "Shine a Light," a sold-out benefit concert at Wilmington’s Queen Theater, which funds music education for Delaware’s underserved youth.
As of summer 2024, Josh is Proudly endorsed by Gopherwood Guitars and Juice's Music Shop (Juicy Earz), and his career is on a steady rise. But what truly sets him apart is his authenticity and his passion for connecting with his audience. Every time Josh steps on stage, it’s not just about playing the notes—it’s about telling a story, making a lasting impact, and leaving the audience with something to remember long after the show is over.
For Josh Marck, music isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling. And as JMarck, he’s not just sharing his talent—he’s sharing a piece of his soul, driven by the desire to inspire and move everyone who hears him.
